What’s up Climber Nation! So stoked to have Dan Holliday of ClimbingArborist.com on the podcast. This was a fantastic conversation, we had a lot of fun. We dive deep into Dan’s backstory, how he ended up living in Canada, his take on the value of online teaching materials in the trade, apprenticeship, building his website, climbing competitions, and much, much more. This is gonna be good!

Love your website and the depth of information it contains — and I’m all about podcasts — but I just couldn’t imagine an arborist podcast. It’s so completely visual. I just couldn’t imagine it being helpful or interesting. Fortunately, I was running low on listening material and had a long drive ahead, so decided to give it a whirl.
Hhmmm, the name Dan Holliday sounds familiar…. then, as soon as I hear his voice, I’m like, “Oh, hey, it’s that Climbing Arborist guy! Maybe this will be fun…”
Oh man, I am a convert — the time simply flew — I subscribed and downloaded more of your podcasts as soon a I got to some wifi!
Keep up the great work,
Ken

Loved listening to this! Dan had a huge influence on me when I started in this industry. He taught me several climbing, and safety techniques, and how to set up a spider leg rigging system. I’ve spared the lives of several gutters thanks to him, lol.
Thank you for taking the time to make this happen Patrick.

I am a student of BAK College. The recent paper competition gave me a lot of headaches, and I checked a lot of information. Finally, after reading your article, it suddenly dawned on me that I can still have such an idea. grateful. But I still have some questions, hope you can help me.
