Estimate Sheet

June 19, 2017 By patrick@educatedclimber.com 4 Comments

This is the estimate sheet that I developed in our first year of operation. I kept modifying it over and over to get to something that would fit most job quote situations. I’m happy with the final product. Feel free to modify it as needed or just pick and choose parts of it to use for your own needs. Let me know what you think.

    Hey there Patrick:

    You’re awesome!

Thanks for doing what you’re doing.

I am currently taking the climbing gear out of temporary retirement and working on ramping up my tree care business here in the Yukon. The market is good and I have been here for 7 years now so I know the lay of the land pretty well.

The “Breaking the Time Barrier” read was a game changer. I struggled in the past with trying to figure out a fair approach to charging for work. Now, all it will take is practice.

I am going at this with better family support, more planning, grown up kids that are interested, more focus, and the Educated Climber in my back pocket.

Your content was stumbled upon one day when I decided to listen to an arboriculture podcast while doing dishes, and voila, here I am.

For me, getting back in the saddle will also mean re-writing my ISA exam. I let it lapse in 2016. Life was just needing to adjust to the state it’s in now, so it’s time!

Now, I just have to land on a business name, build up my media presence, make a few calls and keep at it.

    Dan Potvin

Thank you for your sharing. I am worried that I lack creative ideas. It is your article that makes me full of hope. Thank you. But, I have a question, can you help me?

I don’t think the title of your article matches the content lol. Just kidding, mainly because I had some doubts after reading the article.
